Steam? The press releases speak of oxygen and an oxygen generator. Hm... Said generator is, by the way, also activated at the beginning of the cycle. And yes, Siemens will get the same thing.
Not too keen on the new look of the Home Pro models by Bosch. Where did the nice display go? I hope some models will retain the HD display.

I like this time of year... Thanks for starting the thread.
I thought Gorenje we releasing something this year after their collaboration with Panasonic?.... I read somewhere that Panasonic were realising their new machines in 2014 (which they did) and then Girenje we ramping up their production ready for 2015. So might see something new from them... |

I've seen them online and honestly, I really highly doubt they are made by Gorenje. Everything on them speeks Panasonic. Cycles, cycle times, EvoNavi, options, drum, recirculation. Even if they are build by Gorenje, they should be pure Panasonic technology from the bottom to top. |

@ henene4
"I really highly doubt they are made by Gorenje" Hi Henrik, they are for sure, belive me. You can take a look at the plate near the drum seal. It is written "Made in Slovenia" If you take a look inside the drum you will see that the padles are identical to those from Gorenje Senso Care washers. Gorenje Senso Care washers has also the recirculation but the one on Panasonic branded washers is bigger. Yes sure a lot on them "speeks Panasonic" otherwise what kind of cooperation would be. They are still machines that carry the Panasonic brand on, even if they are produced by Gorenje. |

Panasonic entered into a working R & D collaboration with Goreneje nearly 2 years ago, so as Ingmar says we now see the fruits of their union coming to fruition,
they do indeed look like the SensoCare range but will have Panasonic specs and software!! Don't forget Gorenje now own Asko so again we could see (Hopefully) aspects of great brands continuing!! CLICK HERE TO GO TO chestermikeuk's LINK |

Even if ozone kills bacteria, I still wouldn't expect that proportion of them to be removed. It seems very unlikely. However, if people are confusing bacteria with allergens, that may be more likely. |

I just dreamt that Siemens makes a return of the old 9kg line they offered years ago. Just really updated. |

Though they changed the programming for the 9kg models, the drum still is only 64l. Which is way to small for a day to day mixed load that actually weighs 9kg. The 1800rpm thing was somehow outdated. Manufacturers found it caused to much wear, and was not worth the 2 extra percet over 1600rpm. |

I don't see how the press release leaves any question about that. Its even in the German press release. |

Yea but... the release says that the Twin Washer makes it's "appearance" in Europe - nothing on whether it will be sold here. I've been to LG's booth before and several American appliances "appeared", yet never went on sale.
It would be interesting to see a larger-than-normal machine to go on sale here, especially after practically all other manufacturers failed. |

Such a load of flannel.
You want oxygen in the wash, add hydrogen peroxide commonly found as sodium percarbonate or perborate. Even borax will add some oxygen to water. All these extras to compensate if not cover up for the fact washing machines of today aren't a patch on those of old. They take longer in most cases to do washing and aren't of the same build quality. What most want is a washing machine that is built to last and does the job properly without taking the better part of day. |

I read through the press releases. Nothing spectacular from either Bosch, Siemens, Miele etc. Miele will release its American ranges in Europe by the end of 2016.
Watching the Avantgarde video, it looks like BSH reduced the number if holes in the washer drum. They also redesigned the drying in dishwashers (Zeolith II), making it more effective and quieter. And, of course, everything is connected. Like: the dishwasher will tell you when your tabs run out - for those, who reach into the box of tablets blindfolded...

Avantgarde really dosen't impress me. However, I had to giggle when I saw the animated drum movement in the dryer. It's turning counter clockwise xD Miele only seems to tweek it line up, using its slow reveal tactic: Make new, innovative features avaible only on the TOL lineup, then expand them over all models. |
