Just curious... why the A407? Why not an A606?

I may have an A407 in my warehouse if I didn't scrap it. I'll check and let you know.

I have an A407. It does not have a pilot light above the dial though if that is your goal. I also have an A606 complete top in only fair condition and I don't know what problems it may have. You would have to find a donor machine to make it complete. Both would require some work though.

A606 Maytag Washer

Hello I have an A606 Maytag washer and DG606 matching Maytag dryer that I would love to sell. Cosmetically, they are in very nice condition. Very clean machines. They are coppertone brown however. I bought them from a used appliance store in 1996 with the intention of using them for myself here in my aunt's house down the road, but never did. They have been in storage in my bsmt ever since. They were operated when I bought them from the guy, so they worked then. I have the sales receipt too. I paid $300.00 for the matching set but would be willing to sell for less to have them out of my basement. I live in Davenport, Iowa.

Regarding the stored units:

I do plug the machines in once in awhile for a few minutes to see if the motors run and they do on both, but I haven't hooked water up to the washer. If someone was really interested, I could move the washer to the other end of the bsmt where there is a utility sink and run it through with water.

Well, as far as I know, you need an A606 for that pilot light. I have two, but I'm not ready to part with either of them, and ... the shipping from California to NYC would be very expensive, I would think.

Just curious - are you a collector, or is this particular look needed for some sort of exhibit or production?
