Jon, why weren't you using Rosalie's Zero Suds in your wash? I saw that big bottle of Persil you were using. :) |

Christopher, I always test new products to see that I am keeping ahead of the market. And the Persil was a gift from one of our New England members. I did study the Persil formula when Louis introduced me to it years ago. Its a good performer.
Gene, thank you I am glad you enjoy the vids, they are fun to make. I'm saving my pennies for a GoPro camera for live in tub shots!! Henri the Cameraman from CBS took some movies this way, I hope they make it into the segment for you'all to see.

washer111-- I have zero skills to repair/rebuild washers, so a vintage machine is out of the question for me. But I honestly think I'm completely done with top-loaders, even as a "second machine" in the laundry room. I've had three different top-loaders in the last nine years, none of which lasted long. Of course, as soon as I say that, I'll get interested in one of the new impeller machines, which seem to have improved since their introduction... |

I'm gonna use that one.
Mike that Persil just hit our markets. Henkel bought The Dial Corp to get a foothold into the US market. So this Megaperls Persil is marked The Dial Co. It did take a long time to dissolve !! The 12 minute wash was into 9-10 minutes before it was completely dissolved in the GE FF.
I had bought the German Megaperls Persil and I found I don't like megaperls! They escape from the scoop and when they hit the concrete they seem to bond to it ! I liked the powder much better that I got from Germany. But we now only have the liquid and perls on our market.
I have to say Persil does a nice job cleaning, I studied their formula in depth when developing Rosalie's - we parted ways when it came to bleaches and optical brighteners though. |
