Hi, I just removed this dryer for a family friend from their home today August 12th 2015. I see people collect and restore these. I want to give someone here with a desire to have an opportunity at this. I know it is a model #191 as in the photo. It is electric and was hard wired into the wall. She had an electrician disconnect it last week. I didn't personally try it but she said it produces heat but she did not see the tub part spinning.
Asking: Best offer, and you can have it.
I live in NJ about 40 minutes east of Philadelphia

Yes, thank you. I think I will clean the dust and old dirt off of the outside of it this week. I'd hate to scrap something that certain people would like. I would like it to go to a good home of someone who would like to restore it, or make use of it in its current state.

Very cool, the only French Door dryer ever, someone that likes vintage 50s stuff should get this.

That is my hope that someone with an interest and passion of 1950's items will desire this Blackstone dryer.

Did anyone buy this in the end, or did it get scrapped?

I think that Classicaprice may have gotten this dryer.

I did... though it's a little worse for wear. I picked up the matching washer at the auction in PA in the fall and found this buried in the archives. I wrote the guy and he still had it... but he'd stored it outside for the last 2 years... It's going to need some work, not beyond repair, but definitely not as pretty as when he pulled it out of the basement. I got a deal, but not as good of one as I would have if I had known the condition change in the machine. I just received it last December when a friend picked it up for me on her way home and back for Christmas. The Blackstones will probably be next winters project.
