$1800 could be a typo. This looks older than 1965? Probably not many more around in this shape!

Nice machine but not the price! Even for California, it's a bit expensive!

That is the strangest rack design I have ever seen.  Coming from Waste King, I am not surprised.

If 1965 is correct, would this one-armed system pre-date the cube tube tower?

This was Wasteking's third model series At this time they were offering both single and dual wash arm systems. The single arm machines featured a pop up tower that sprayed fan shaped jets up to the top rack. It was nothing like GE's tower.

The lower rack design was a hold over from their first machines with only one wash arm. We had one of those single arm models and the rack actually held quite bit. The corners were great for bowls and odd shaped items. That earlier model had a needle style spray that was very powerful and easily penetrated the lower rack to get to the top rack. The pictured model's spray patern was not as precise which is why the pop up tower was needed.

The machine looks to be in good shape. If someone goes for it and wants to use it as a daily driver they will also need earplugs....it's not quiet!

Friends got transferred to Dallas summer of 1965 and they had the lower-end of this model in the new house with the exact same racks. So it is an accurate age description.
