First I would look up the WP part # if you are searching appliance companies that might have an orignal part in their stock.
I would also check with companies that specialize in oil seals etc, the old oil seal # you have might help them and last you may have to measure the shaft and opening the seal is pressed into and find something that fits.
I think that you will find something that works.

Thank you for the replies. For now, we've heated the seal in boiling water and reshaped it. So far, so good. That should hold us over until a replacement is found. |

As John mentioned above, if you can't find an original part most any typical shaft seal should work fine. In many cases the factory part is just a common off the shelf part anyhow.
If you can measure the shaft diameter and the bore it fits in most any bearing shop should be able to fit a common size. McMaster Carr has a number of sizes you can peruse here: www.mcmaster.com/#rotary-seals/=y... Perhaps you will see something familiar there! |
