Used to have one of these.

They do blow Ice Cold. A little Vac, Dust, and Polish and I bet it would be like new.

I'd say circa 1980s

I'm pretty sure that Kenmore is a Whirlpool.

Well, I bought a WCI Frigidaire MANY years ago that still works just fine and looks just like that one does. Same knobs, same little door and same wood grain finish, only it says Frigidaire- Hi Efficiency. My electric bill dont think its very high efficient but I can sleep just fine with it running and I am using it almost every night to sleep now with the excessive humidity we never seem to get but are now.

I have a GE model in the attic that still runs but does not cool. Anyone want it for free?

Here's a Whirlpool that looks similar to the Kenmore that Eddie posted.

Whirlpool did make Kenmore back then.

Hey Phil.

I saw those A/Cs you posted. I wish I could get them all for preservation.

I had the same Kenmore 8000 unit. It is of the 1980's era. It was used for about 20 years. It was replaced one of 4 Sanyo mini-splits when I upgraded the HVAC systems. I gave it to a friend for his kitchen and it continued to run for years.

if you find these units, grab them, some of the nicest units I have ever used, very quiet too......I am partial to the 'power saver' mode......

actually on the lookout for a 10,000 or 12,000 BTU 110V unit myself.....their rare finds.....

Ugly unit-but if it cools well-hide it behind the drapes!

If it has a wood grain front and screams late 60's thru 80's...

It has to cool well. Plastic Wood Grain... The sign of Quality. LOL

I had the Whirlpool that is pictured here in 18,000 Btu's.  It was a 220 with the "energy saver".  Great a/c and very quiet.  Bought it new at Woolco around 1984.

That Westinghouse is from the 1960's.  Someone posted a commercial of Frank Gifford installing it into a window.  I like the grill on it.
