I wonder how much? Probably costs thousands. Tell Martha Stewart since she often says how much she loves to iron. I'll bet she hasn't plugged in her GE Spray, Steam & Dry for decades.

I tried one in the shop. The iron is too small, heavy and the handle was not right.
I would prefer a wider soleplate so it takes fewer strokes to smooth out wrinkles. Kinda like a wider mower to cut grass.

I wish Miele made more "informative videos" like Laurastar.
I followed the Laurastar example for ironing shirts but imagine if they combined the Miele Roller iron lady with the Fashion Master.

Going for very little money (under $50 at last bidding).

Though already have a (professional) vacuum ironing board figured *what the heck* if could nab the Miele system for under a few hundred it might make a fun play thing. However there was one problem; the NIB unit was being offered without the iron. No worries say to myself, how much could an iron cost?

I'm an idiot aren't I? Totally forgot this is Miele.

Before auction ended rang up MieleUSA; gave the part number and waited for response. The iron alone is nearly *One Thousand* USD, plus tax and shipping. Mind you the whole unit costs nearly two thousand, so the iron alone is about half?

Scrub that; quickly decided not to bother.

Truth to tell am not a fan of these modern self contained steam boiler/ironing systems. For one thing if one part goes the rest is often not usable any longer.

In the case of Miele FashionMaster everything is via electronics including operating the fan which relies upon information from the iron. No iron, no suction or anything else.

See plenty of these units (often without the iron) either used or NIB on eBay, Offerup, CL and the other usual places. This is worldwide not just in USA and includes Germany. That tells me at least something is up with these units, especially where the iron is concerned.

My guess is owners drop or damage the iron then find cost of replacement too dear so just part out/offer to sell the remaining bits on. This and irons are damaged in shipping so NIB units are sold off as customer returns. That could be fine if you have already a Fashionmaster iron, or can find one cheaply.
