What the H E double hockey sticks is going on here?

Vintage 1950's Roper Bake Master Cast Iron freestanding stove. 3 in 1 with cook top, oven and heater. Perfect for a cabin or to be restored. 4 burner with oven and broiler. White enamel finish.
In perfect working condition. Chrome accents a bit rusty, paint in good condition minimal missing paint.

I actually think, for a gas range, that arrangement is one of the most sensible ever.  Perfect for4 families that used a lot of big pots at the same time to prepare a meal.

Alot of people around here had stoves with heaters either like that gas one or oil when I was a kid. They do have to be vented in a chimney

A neighbor had a Roper with that burner arrangement, which eliminated having to reach over hot pans or flames, but without the heater.
