Hi all,

I am helping my grandparents transition from their home of 50+ years with lots of retro features. We need to spruce up the house and am trying to recoup some of the costs for repairs and upgrades by selling some of the saleable items.

Need advice on where to get started from some experts.

Item is a circa 1969 stainless steel KitchenAid Dishwasher. Has not been in use for several years but has been relegated to being a storage unit in the kitchen where it was originally installed. Thinking it can be refurbished to working use but cannot confirm. Interior enamel coating is in good shape. External posterior with minimal rusting. Exterior surface in good condition.

Any ideas on value and current market for these would be greatly appreciated. Have not yet posted to craigslist or E-Bay as I could not fins any comparable items currently on the market.

Thanks in advance for your help. The appliance currently resides in North Miami, Florida.

in the right spot - just post a price or "offer/o.b.o" - not sure what it's worth.

Best of luck.

Do you have the racks available, or are they long gone?

I don't know if it matters, but that KitchenAid is about 20 years older than you think it is, possibly a KD10. The racks and wash arm are important.

That's an original KD-10. They were manufactured from April of 1949 to April of 1955.
Without the racks it's not really worth much to anyone unless they happen to be looking for certain parts from it. I don't know how rare the stainless steel panels are. They might be worth something to someone.

To the RIGHT person on the RIGHT day you might be able to get $100-$200 out of it for the panels, timer and maybe the pump (if it's functional).

On a bad day, you are able to get someone to take it from you with paying to have it hauled away.

Thanks

Appreciate all the info. Learned after I posted this that the dishwasher install pre-dated the families move into the home. Would explain how off I was on the year. I think the racks are long gone but will try to track them down as suggested.
