I don't know why...

The links I post go bad... I write the thread, attach the pic, paste the link then preview it and the link works. Then I post it.

They work when I preview. Hmmmm....

Just re attached and it works. Now I'll post.

Just did it again.

Don't know why that happens.

Probably something to do with my CrapTop. I hate this computer.

Go to NY CL, Appliances, type in Maytag and scroll down. It's a nice machine

Somehow the : that comes after https was removed in both links.

HTTPS

ovrphil's profile picture
Well, again...for anyone who posts, look at the link you post before you let it rip(post it).

Do a preview of your post. If you see an HTTPS in the link, REMOVE THE S letter or if easier, remove the https and replace with http..don't change anything else.

Whether Robert could easily address this and do a conditional test to remove the s in the http(hypertext transfer protocol), I don't know...but for now, if you don't remove the S yourself, you get this: "SERVER NOT FOUND" or some similar error

Pass the word around - no S on http when you're posting a link and you're good.

But this is some new glitch.

I have been writing, attaching, pasting, previewing the same way since I joined the club. This is something new as of the past 2 weeks.

If the link works in the preview, why is it not working once I post it to the Forum ?

Anyway, It is a beautiful machine.

No idea Eddie, I did the same thing and it didn't happen to me.

S in link

ovrphil's profile picture
Well, I did see that "s" and incidentally, on RARE RARE occasions, it will work.

I didn't mention it, though I have experienced the same thing.

But, if you note, the majority of the links copied and pasted with the "S" in the

http will not work.

So you guys make your own observations knowing now what happens most of the time

with https links.

I noted once or twice, a link with an S has worked, but not sure what is going on.

Onward! Thanks Louis.

Every https link will work as long as the ":" is in the link, that's all. In the posted links they had vanished.

Is this a direct drive or belt drive.

It looks to be in fantastic shape.

Price is awesome!

First : Link Issue
Must be my CrapTop. When I type too fast a lot of letters start missing and it misspells words. Hopefully a New AirBook is in the future and get rid of this Windows crap once and for all.

Machine...
I love that Maytag. I've always wanted one to play with. I am looking for a Portable due to the studio situation.

Eddie,

Are you typing the link in your message or do you use copy and paste?

Whirlcool - that's how I've handled it for the past three years.

Anyways, I like the dishwasher! Is the almond panel replaceable with another color or stainless, if that's what someone wanted?

Louis...
Hi first of all !!!

I am pasting the link. Not typing it. It is just so strange that it works when I preview the copy, but as soon as I post it to the thread, it doesn't work.

I just tried agitatorboogie's link on the Coppertone GE thread and it doesn't work.

Feh !!!

I posted a working link there. No problem. The : was missing again. What browser are you using?

I posted it in the text. Did you post it in the "URL Link to share:" window?

The panel is reversible like so many in the 1980s and 1990s.  4 colors probably --almond, black, white, and maybe yellow.

Yes Louis.

I did post it in the URL link to share window. I think it may have something to do with my laptop. It's been acting strange lately. Everything worked fine until about 2 weeks ago.

I have to find someone to look at this machine.
