My friend went to her parents house and checked out the washer. It is a suds saver model. Her parents, signed the listing today and the house will host an open house in two weeks. If there is no interest, the washer will go with house.

Bolt Down Kenmore

The washer, came with house when it was purchased, in 1957. Jeannes's parents were very thrifty and wouldn't use the automatic, because they thought it used too much water. In the 60's, Jeanne's dad caught the girls using the automatic and cut off the hoses. It has sat ever since. I started it and it completes a cycle, without water and sounds very healthy. There is rust around the water temp control dial and some around the lid where it meets the seal. The rust is cosmetic. The owners manual is with the washer.

looks like a beauty! The shipping costs however would be a killer to SC. Hopefully someone else closer will be interested.

Does anyone know what the weight and measurements of this machine would be so we can figure shipping?
