Hi all. I have been given this machine, and understand it is a rare one? The washer works but I just cannot get the spinner to go. It is completely dead. I have checked all wiring and brushes and they seem fine. I found the pressure switch for heater had perished its rubber, I fixed that but it still does not heat. I wondering if the switch has got wet? Could it be the spun motor do you think? Any help appreciated and so you know I'm dreadful with electrics!

Ian

Just a thought but have you checked the safety lid switch on the spinner? This will stop it spinning because it will think the lid is open.

Hi Hoovermad. yes, I have, ive had the interlock open and checked the mechanics, all seems ok i think. I did wonder if the microswitch is dead?? There is a spinarinse spin dryer near me on ebay, i was thinking that i could make a new spinner out of that, but think it may be a bit of a challenge for me.

Hi Ian

Is the suppressor on the side of the motor intact? Quite often these pop and that kills the motor. Here's a pic of the one on my T5024 which went with a bang! You can bypass this to check it as its only there to stop interference with TVs etc. If that's the case then I'm not sure if spares are available but if it's one of the later spinarinse then that would have the same set up.

Here's a pic of the spinarinse I intend to use to get it all working again. I understand this model will have the same motor. Please advise if I've got it wrong. Thanks for your help so far!
