Ok I'm looking at things and I see the lg. I know it's goldstar renamed but I kind of like the way it looks and the features plus the control panel. I'm looking at model DLE5977W which is their top of the line electric however I can't get any information from their website as the script doesn't seem to be working on the product page. Do their dryers have a direct drive motor in them? Are they reliable? Would it be wise to buy one even if I get the 5 year extended warranty from bestbuy?

Re: LG Dryers:

Yes, the LG Dryers do have a Direct-Drive Motor/Drum connection. I've found out from my Salesman Friend at Fry's Electronic's here in Sacramento, CA. All of the Models are Direct-Drive Motor/Drum connections.

Peace and best to all, Steve
