Hi all,

I have a question I've been pondering for a while. My Maytag washer, a dependable care, has a separate speed knob in addition to the cycle knob. The settings on the speed selector knob are regular, permanent press, and delicate. I'm confused though, because there's a delicate/hand wash setting on the cycle knob as well. My question is, when washing delicate items, is it OK to use the regular cycle with the speed selector knob set to delicate, or should I still use the delicate/hand wash setting on the cycle knob as well as turning down the speed?

Thanks,
Ryne

The advantage that you have with that machine is that you can use whatever speed combination the machine offers for whatever cycle you desire to use. It's just another option that the machine offers to allow you different variables for whatever your laundry needs could possibly be.

The cycle knob 'delicate' will be shorter. The speed knob 'delicate' will be slower.
