Hi,

After having been a casual observer of this great forum for a number of years, I have finally dipped my toe into the world of washing machine preservation with the acquisition of this Hoover EcoLogic 1200 - A3954.

It has now made it's way to my garage after a period of storage at work, where I intend to give it a good service and make it work for it's keep as a second machine to assit the overworked AEG indoors.

On first appearance it appears to be in very good condition and was fortunate enough to be given the original manual and receipts from when new, which is a bonus.

I'll bring more news as work progresses, but for now here's a couple of pictures while in storage at work.

Regards,

Sam

Hi Sam and welcome.

Your Hoover Logic looks great. They are really good machines.

There's a huge amount of useful info on this site that will help with your overhaul - and also lots of helpful people that can give you plenty of tips and encouragement.

I've recently overhauled a Logic 1000 A3670 Logic which is very similar to your machine. Here's the link

www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/T...

My overhaul included:

Treating the rust after a good clean.

Replacing the tub gasket - there was lots of crud around the edges

Replacing the door seal

Replacing the suspension with a new anti-twist kit

Replacing the thermostat seals as they were perished

Replacing the brushes.

The motor bearings need a bit attention - going to use some motorbike grease on them after getting a tip from Gary (electron1100) on here.

I've also got a A3954 that I've starting working on again. Will be posting some updates on it as work progresses.

Good luck. Hope you enjoy the overhaul.

Mike.
