This is one of the direct-drive models with automatic water level sensing.  As I understand, the problem with it not filling is a bad water level control module ... or could be the ATC module, as I recall a revision on the control system incorporated the water level sensor into the ATC sensor.

Could a typical water level switch be put in? Is there an air tube coming off the tube for that?
