So I (re)found this washer dryer set in the barn for the apartment at my parents place (it's complicated) 😋 and after I scrubbed the muddy paw prints and other detritus off of it, I ran a load of work clothes in it and fell in love with it! It works really well, I didn't think it would be so different from the other TL I've used, but the corkscrew agitator and heavy duty action and the filter system made a really satisfying wash.
I couldn't find a serial tag, but it was probably bought about '96. Funny the things we take for granted. I'm tempted to trade out the old BOL whirlpool with this while I keep saving for the Speed Queens. Does anyone have any more insight to its inner workings? Much appreciated |

The control panel looks '96-ish but the classic agitator and porcelain tub look earlier. My mom's 2000 GE had a plastic tub and different agitator. It was pretty much junk from day one.
Yours looks better built -- like it might still have some of the old GE integrity -- and could have a decent life span. |
