I have a New in the box Monkey Wards T.O.L. disposer circa 1967..It's a re-badge Waste-king Universal never been used.I did plug it up and it

came right to life. This whole disposal is made out of a cast Nickel,Iron, and Steel..Flywheel,hammers,and huge grind ring..

These are my favorites because they never dull..Most disposers are made of shiny S.S. not this one it's all black inside of it..

There is non wearing exit slots and surgical steel undercutter blades that shred corn husks and other tough to grind things..

The disposer says it is a 1/3 H.P. but draws 5.9 Amps the same as my 1/2 H.P. 1969 SS3000 and my 1971 SS8000 also my 1972 SS7000.

I have found out a long time ago that H.P. is not that big of deal when you have a T.O.L. grind system..

If anybody is interested let me know...   Here are some Pics  ... It's kinda odd that this thing was made before we went to the moon and is pushing 50 years old.

Don't you have any of the Frigidaire version for sale? That's something I haven't found yet! I have one that does not work and it's missing the part that installs in the sink (which is the part I want most!).

How much are you asking for this one?

Frigidaire stop making disposers years and years ago..I have brochures from the 70s and they were made by WasteKing  then..

I have never seen a Frigidaire/G.M. made disposer period and I have been collecting disposers for 20 years.I have had over 300+ disposers in my life and

have some very rare machines.Tappan,Caloric,Elkay,Maytag,Kitchenaid,BusBoy,and many many many more..

I am now breaking into the China made ones that are very high end, most of the China made ones are garbage bad...

I even had a HUGE G.E. that was made in 1930s it weighs a ton ..It had to sit on the floor its so big...

Send me a Pic of what you have I might can help you out on that part....

The disposer I have is no good, it's a cheap model from the early 1970s and it's missing the part that attaches it to the sink... I'd like to get a complete one that works!

I would be interested in your "Monkey" ward disposer-looks alike a nice specimen!!!Great shape-and it works.Have you tried shredding anything with it?I am sure it would work well .Those old WK machines made a fine grind-their shredders were very efficient-hence no need for a high HP motor.

No Rex I have not put anything down it at all.I have so many that are like it I really saw no reason to.I just wanted to see if it would fire up

and run.Which it does with no problem.

These old ones the Waste-King Universal last much longer than the ones that came out in the  late 80s until they were phased out in the early 90s,

I have a old 1970/71 W/K Universal and it's by far the best disposer I have ever used.Beats them all hands down but I guess it should considering that the price tag on it was 299 bucks.

The flywheel has a 5 LB weight attached underneath it and that flywheel has teeth on it on top of the steel under-cutters.

I have used that thing for two years and the teeth are still as sharp as these new ones I compare it to.It's never jammed plastic forks, coffee filters,Rib,Steak bones are also no problem for it and it is only a 1/2 H.P. motor.

Oh yea I also love my 1970 I.S.E. 77 disposer it will also chew threw anything.. They just don't make things like they used to at all...

WK Universal-too bad no longer made-guess it would to expensive to make now.I have an ISE 77 under my sink like the one you show.Mine came with the house-hasn't worked in many years-the start switch and cap had been removed. So it was a drain-replaced with your Maytag I bought sometime back.I don't run bones or plastic forks thru it-I have a septic tank. Those sort of things get fed to Baker the trash compactor at the dump.He is a real beast-has a 15Hp 3Ph motor.I will send you a message on the site message system about your Wards disposal.

Flywheel weights-kinda like what was used in old Sensation rotary mowers. They had small Clinton engines-but had a weight above the blade-so the mower could power thru weeds and such with the small 2.5 Hp Clinton motor.A friend of mine has one-its over 60yrs old-but works fine.
