It's a Gibson. And as for parts not working, well, not surprised. :-)

Either Whirlpool or Magic Chef.

I just love the simplicity of both the range AND the CL description : "Burners work-Oven Doesn't"

LOL.  That's ALL you need to KNOW.   lol.

How junky can it be...

if it still looks that good after 40+ years or so.  I've seen much newer ranges that look horrendous.

It's even got an outlet on the panel.  That is a must have for me.

It probably just needs an oven element or controller.

Gibson Appliances

I had a Gibson top of the line range in fact I sold a lot of Gibson ranges.
Very few problems and baked like a charm. Had a rotisserie in the oven and completely enjoyed that. There was nothing wrong with Gibson ranges. People
seem to want to always put down WCI products. They had some of the best warranties
in the business. Just because they changed from the old Frigidaire style
doesn't mean they were junk!

Gibson

Westinghouse, Kelvinator And Frigidaire all were great products before WCI, WCI cheapened them all, BUT...Compared to anything today, you are correct, they look pretty good.

Cool, thx. Those knobs are rather unique i thought. Are they metal, or plastic?

I believe they were plastic knobs.

Had a few Gibson's come through the shop over the years. Decent enough ranges.
