Hey Folks,
well today marks the end of an era. I have sold 2 machines out of my collection. one of which is im particularly fond of...my hoover newwave washer/dryer. its now going off to pastures new as it needed a new module to make it spin 1300rpm. Which would've bin fairly costly n i wasnt keen on doin the repair. which would've resulted in a callout charge of the manufacturers...which i wasnt keen on doin. so alas...i had to make the choice no parent likes to make lol i have enclosed a pic for all of the above machine.

The Question is What Next!?! What shall i add to the collection now 2 have flown the nest...

i'm considering the new hoover vision 8kg!!! oh yeas...of course i need to stick to my vintage roots & find me a nice 80s machine.....

The race is on........

D

Hmmm. I think it's about time you found a vintage AEG for yourself ;-).

Or that said, claim your grandma's Hotpoint washer dryer. She can always use her sink :-D.

That's a shame mate

You must be sad to let it go.

On ebay right now there is a Logic which looks good but it's in the West country somewhere.

What sort of thing are you looking to replace it with? I have a perfect condition Hoover 1200 `Special Edition' in the garage next to the decreped Hotpoint. It's not very exciting, it's from I guess 2001, used by my wife infrequently for a year before I met her, and then stored ever since. It's a Candy hybrid I think. The water level NEVER goes above the door and the only fun distribute / spin is on the woolens cycle which has a very quick acceleration for some unknown reason. So personally I'd reccommend staying clear of those just because they aren't very exciting.

I'd really love a classic Philips with the fast splashy distribute, or maybe a classic 70sBendix with the motorised timer - you pressed a button and the timer would go round amid lots of noisy whirring, you released the button when it got to the right cycle and the program started. Mega fun.

Bye bye New Wave, good luck in your new home!

Nick

yea i was sad but nevermind. i did tell it to buck its ideas up & start spinning properly lol. it didnt listen lol!

I've a large list of machines i'd like. so i'm bound to find one of them.

something 80s would be good. a hotpoint, zanussi, indesit...another hoover. i dunno!

and i'm really keen on gettin an 8kg hoover vision too. tho i know it probably won't use any water.

watch this space!
