A turquoise Maytag washer from the 50s, in Las Vegas.

Photos also show a pink pair of a brand we don't recognize.

These are too far away from us to seriously consider.

AAARGH! Las Vegas... Why Las Vegas???

The Pink set look like Kenmores - I'd guess early to mid-60s. Also a fine pair of machines!

That is an early, mid 60s Highlander.

I've seen a 64 LK dryer for real but I do not recall seeing many, if any 64 LK washers here.  These are rare.

An A502, I think

I have one of these in white but it's in pieces. This model has the front panel "Exorcisted" around so that the front of the cabinet is really the Maytag back with all the access now in the rear (quiet Steve!). Should have the black agitator with the lint filter and maybe even the rare black softener dispenser cup. I would agree, however, that those Kenmores are stealing the thunder here. Who is the seller? One of us?

Am I the only one who feels he's seen these Vegas machines before?

They are a beautiful color. All are like sweet pastel rainbow.

We had a white dryer like that (and a mid 60s Frigidaire washer), until 1976. But it had a handle on the door. And when they took them out to bring in the new Whirlpool set, I got to keep the dryer knob.

I'm not aware of seeing these before, but I'm not all over the aw.org pages or have been around long enough. BUT...here's a bigger view.

It seems I've seen a 1960s LK in pink before, from that region of the country. Don't know if it was this pair

Did a quick check of my records.... not sure if it's the same models.

I believe this fine pair belongs to one of our Esteemed Members.

OH BE STILL MY BEATING HEART...THOSE KENMORE'S!

Why is it that sets or machines that we go GAGA over never seem to be in our neck of the woods so that we can possibly have the chance to enjoy our dream machines.

Someone is snickering upstairs and have a chuckle at our expense!

That is the same set my grandparents had but in white. Built in dispenser cup that was divided and set one way to put bleach in and then you'd turn it to put fabric softener in. Unfortunately for those that had to replace that dispenser control Sears had modified it so you didn't turn it anymore. All lit up inside and out...the one thing I laugh about that machine was it had the measuring cup on the agitator cap that no one was able to get off the scrubber. I'd get excited if the machine happened to go off balance and the buzzer would go off. I'd be the lucky one to go in the basement and play with the washer to balance the load. Lastly the dryer having the dampening door and the fragrance freshener that you could use. OH WELL!!!!!!!!

And what do they mean "NON INVENTORY" on that dryer.

And as far as that Highlander goes...nice looking machine but considering it's not working than for my two cents that $250 price tag isn't working either!!!!

All I want is ONE Turquoise Maytag Washer of this vintage.
I have the Dryer DG701. Why are they always SO far away, and
a bit cost prohibitive.

HELP...I really just want a Late 50's or early 60's
Turquoise Maytag Washer.

Thanks for letting me vent / LOL.

Best washes,

Louis

Don't we have people in Las Vegas?

If so maybe a kind member would offer to collect and hold until transport can be arranged. Getting it up north could be a problem, but for everyone else there are plenty of options. U-ship, Craters and Freighters, MicroShip and so forth.

As for Canada there is this outfit:https://www.gonavis.com/location/auction-shipping/downers%20grove/il1043

Contacted them once but the quote was too much for what things were. Am not faulting the company, just didn't want to pay several hundred to shift a group of wash tubs.

Trying to find one of these washers.

Yes Paul, I understand. I'm only asking for 1 from the Universe / LOL.

Hello Delaney. I would like it to work, but as long
as it's a fixable piece, and not a Totalled Unit, I
would def still be interested.

Do you Know something / LOL?

I've used U-Ship and they were great. I'm really
just trying to watch expenses, as I have alot
to do on the house I recently got.

Thanks all for your support.

Best Washes,

Louis

Gorgeous,

Those Maytags are streamlined, and the Lady Kenmores have great style. They look great all lit up.
Even the lower priced model 70 Kenmore in turquoise lit up.
My moms lasted 24 years washing for a family of seven. Dad replaced the pump, belt, and timer once.
