Are these indeed in the wrong forum? Approximately what year do we think these are?

Which agitator does the washer have? I had one with those exact same settings of cycles, water levels and temperatures with the dual-action agitator, and it was 'Almond' colored.

Randy asked what agitator this machine has...

The answer depends on what year and specific stock number this machine is.

This machine is either one of two models from 1979 or one of two from 1980. The 79s were 80 series, the first being a Penta-Swirl model with the softener extension on it. The second was a popular model with the Dual Action agitator. These models had an 80 insignia next to the Kenmore logo on the bottom left of the console.

The 1980 models were both 70 series models, one had no dispensers and the other had the usual bleach and agitator mounted softener. These were both Penta-Swirl machines. The 1980 models were slightly less featured in areas other than the console in that they had no out of balance buzzers and had painted tops instead of the porcelain enamel of the 1979 models above. There was a 70 logo next to the Kenmore name on these.

The dryer is a later model 1980 dryer. You can tell by the gold band on the temp selector. The earlier models of this very popular dryer did not have the gold shading. This is a 70 series dryer.

My bet would be on the 1980 models, so the washer probably has a Penta Swirl agitator.

These were nice models and very popular in the early 80s. Like others have said, these look to be in nice shape.

The set looks to be in great shape, and is definitely in the right forum. Only if it were under 20 years old would it not be. Hard to believe that 1995 is that long ago.

Have a good one,
James
