I was just having a look at the Australian website for Whirlpool, and unless I have missed something, there are no washing machines on it in either front load or top load styles.
Does anyone know if Whirlpool have dropped washers from their range of of household appliances.?
I clicked on the appliances page and there are ovens, dishwashers, cooktops, rangehoods and microwaves.
Many Thanks
Steve.

Yep: no more WP washers for the Australian market.

They did launch a completly new washer design platform over here, featuring Zen (DD) motors, bigger drums, new efficent cycles (EU speak: A+++ - 60% in just 6 hours for 10 or 8 kg) and new features like a warm final rinse, and some more.
They redesigned the dryers as well.

So maybe they are just re-launching?

All the models have been disappearing since the end of the DD machines. The Silver control paneled DD's and the Maytag Centenials were the last traditional machines we had here.

We had the Washplate Cabrio's for a while and then the TL machines disappeared.

Then all that was left was the Duet from Germany and a selection of low end crappy FL machines.

Towards the end the Duet dropped in price from $3000 to $1200 and I paid $1150 for mine as one of the last units available in country.

Should be a Whirlpool comeback soon.

Apparently there are negotiations for Whirlpool products to be sold at the Good Guys.

Seems like the Good Guys are selling quite a few of the Hoover washing machines they have stocked exclusively.

Whirlpool has always sold well in Australia but never really a well managed company.
