I sometimes will let mine soak clothes all night. Never had an issue. They're designed to hold water. Just not long enough to corrode or rust the tub like weeks or months. |

My grandmother would start her wash Sunday evening. And as soon as it was filled for rinse, she shut it off. I think she put stuff on a drying rack more than hanging it out on an early Monday morning. That automatic washer was bad enough for her to get used to, she did NOT want a dryer, no ifs, no ands, no buts.
