I had this washer in 2002 and in Almond.  It has an electro-mechanical timer which for 1988....undecided   is kinda behind the times.

The buttons were the kind you'd find on a 1965 GE range.  Kind of strange considering Whirlpool already had an electronic timer model washer at that point.

"Sorta meh color though"  Well, in 1986 there was almond and white, maybe black.

KA's first issue of washer and dryer offered only two models.  This set was the "low-end" pair.  The upper-end pair had electronic controls (touchpanels).
