In the interest of preserving domestic harmony and actually getting to see a 25th Anniversary with Hubby, I wanted to make a pre-emptive strike and create some space in the collection.

I'd like to move out the following two sets as quickly as possible. First up: The 1965 Maytag A702 with near-match 1963 DE306 dryer. Both machines are in excellent working condition; neither have been fully restored but have had some work done. The washer had a new timer at some point before I became its owner. Since I've had it I needed to replace a couple of hoses and the ballast for the fluorescent lamp in the control panel. And I have some spare parts for it!
The dryer has not been restored - it seems to be completely original (except for the power cord). I'm asking $350 for the set for a fast sale.

The second set...wait for it... is the 1966 Inglis Sterling washer and dryer.
If you followed my posts, you know what that poor washer has been through... The cabinet, most electrical components, inner wash tub, and agitator are about the only original components left in it! But it is 100% functional and with the new bearings, seals, etc. it should hum along for many years to come. Bonus - it is a suds-saver machine (also fully functional) and has a germicidal and tub light.
The dryer has been serviced a few times and I have replaced the original motor with an original-style round Whirlpool motor. It's not an 'automatic' model - there are 6 preset drying programs or you can choose timed drying. Price on this is to be discussed, but it's gotta go, too!!

Please email or message me with any questions or if you'd like additional photos.

Bear in mind that they are both located in a rural setting on the wrong side of the US border - shipping could be next to impossible to arrange so plan on coming up to visit. Canyon may bark, but hubby won't... I promise...

I would

Tell Hubby he could get over it!!LOL, Donald  just made a 10 hour round trip with me to get a stove, He even took a day of vacation just so I wouldn't have to go alone, he doesent care about old appliances, but he still helps me find them and gets anything he finds at estate sales he thinks I might like, likewise, If I see any old Christmas I get it for him, If im short some cash to buy something, he gives it to me, as I do him if he needs it, Im too independent to put up with someone telling me what I can and can not have, I grew up with that , Damn if im going to live like that at 50!

Hans, I admit it, I envy you that you and Donald are both passionate about collecting appliances and other vintage goodies. It's certainly not everyone who can appreciate collecting the way most of us here do! You are both lucky to have each other.

But I've gotta keep the peace around here... Besides, he might not take me to Mexico again this winter if I don't... LOL

But also helps me when I need it because he knows I enjoy it.  I did two things.  I agreed he could take the formal living room and do whatever he wants with it so he is turning it into a ManCave.  Lots of crap I don't want to look at but at least it's positioned so not all will see it.  He doesn't like looking at the dishwashers so we're even.  He did buy an extra pair of glasses for his big 3D whatever.  I said they give me a headache.  I'm just not one to sit long enough to watch a movie.  I'm usually doing something in the kitchen.  LOL.

I also agreed to limit it to a certain number of machines that's manageable to the amount of space we have.  Two of them are on the other side of the island and he hates it but we compromised so it's all good.  When a new one comes in one goes out.

At the end of the day I am fortunate to have someone who grudgingly supports my hobby and I compromised too.  It's all good.

Oh, that's a gorgeous washer and dryer pair!

Now I have to figure out how far away Ogden, QC, Canada is from New Hampshire, to determine if we can justify the round trip!

However, with a crazy schedule at work for the next couple weeks and household chores getting ready for family visits, there's no way we could make a trip of more than a few hours until after Christmas.
