That's a big tree to fit all that under it.

Wow, Travis, those are some nice finds! Is there a story on the Frigidaires? The two-color units are pretty rare.

Congrats and enjoy.

Greg,

They came from Ohio. The washer is working, but the dryer wasn't used by the last owner. They're in nice shape. I decided to go for them after failing to find a dryer to match my WO-65. I do also have the same washer in white, so I have some parts.

Now to find to studs to come and move them into the basement. I am not sure what to do with the Bendix, but it will look nice next to the Maytag.

Congratulations!

Your 1956 pair look like a pair donated to, I think I remember, the Kansas Historical Society. When the young people bought the house this pair was still working. They said the Filtrator dryer got way too hot, but thought that they should be preserved. Any of you in or near Kansas might try to find out if the society wants them or would accept a healthy donation in exchange for them.

Given the economic situation in Brownbackistan, the historical society might consider liquidating assets.

I remembered that Kansas set. Here's a link to it. It looks like they were all pink.

Kansas to Ohio to St. Louis?

If they really were from Kansas, how did they get to Ohio? Travis, did you find them in Ohio?

Thank you

Kenny,

Well past garage full! I am continually changing my mind.

The Duomatic will go in my back room next to the Maytag. It's not possible to get a combo in my basement.

The pink Frigidaire pair is going to the basement to join a pair of WO-65's and a turquoise Maytag pair.

All three machines came from Ohio. Another one of us had collected and then had too much. We had talked about the pink pair and made a deal. I grabbed the Bendix since the price was fair and it wasn't trapped in some god awful basement. Since all three were at the same location, shipping was easy

Louis, Thank you for taking the time to research the Kansas pair!

Best wishes,
Tom

Travis

If you don't know where to put them, you can dump them. LOL

If you want, you can dump one or two or 50 in front of an specific house in Los Angeles. ROFL I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind.

BTW, I'm moving soon to L.A.

Congratulations on these wonderful finds. I've always thought the '56 Frigidaire
washer & dryer were really pretty machines. Is your duomatic gas or electric.
I had one of these and the dryer was gas - John L. now has it. Can't wait to see some additional pics of those machines.
Bob
