Does anyone have a photo of this strange beast? Never knew they had one this early. Just read about it in the manual of my 1959 Maytag 142S.

I'm pretty sure it's this one pictured here. It's the same one that would have fit my A700 washer which predates the built in fabric softener dispenser found on the A702. The part number is 2-1380. They do turn up from time to time, but the last one I saw on eBay sold for more than I was willing to pay. These photos came from an eBay auction well over a year ago. Hopefully it's OK to use them for illustrative purposes.
