Tempting, but I bet it's set up for Natural Gas

That's a rare beauty! Try finding this model in any GE brochure.

To me, a good match for a Whirlpool washer of that similar vintage also for sale here:

The only place I've ever seen this one is on the cover of the 1973 Sweets catalog.  Oddly enough it was not included inside the catalog.  However, this is a pre-1973 model based on the graphics on the timer.  Very interesting model, would be fun to keep.  Maybe someday the matching washer would appear.

To my fellow GE experts

Did GE ever improve these big-door models by matching them up with stronger blowers?

I think we've seen at least one picture of a washer on this site that matches that enigmatic avocado dryer. Let me look.

Happy New Year Ken and all!
While a stronger blower might have helped, the biggest design flaw, in my opinion, was the deep door plug. Too much heat was lost through the metal collar so moisture condensed and lint stuck.

Bajaspuma,  great eye and memory.  I appreciated your info in the "frog eye" Kenmore thread as well. I am a WP, top filter fan.  GE continued on with a real porcelain dryer drum for a long time. Were they the last?
