Hi,

I want to make a blueberry pie using frozen blueberries. I'd like to make it in a 9" pan, please.

Anyone got a recipe they like, using frozen blueberries?  I have to bring it to a Sunday dinner get together.

thanks,

paul

4 cups blueberries

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup Minute Tapioca
1Tbls lemon Juice
1/8 tsp cinnamon
I'd let the frozen blueberries thaw a bit, about 20 min.

Hmmm, I make the same as you Stan, coming from where you can to pick your own without leaving your yard, but the tapioca I will definitely try next time. But I cant be bothered with rolling crust out. I will buy a 2 shell pie crust and it tastes fine. Unfortunately, I never have any left by Thanksgiving in the freezer that were picked. I love blueberries and use any excuse to make something with.

This is a Great One from allrecipes.com

And I have used Frozen Wild Maine Blues. They're the sweetest .  The Crumb topping is very good and a nice change.

thank you Stan, Ed and Tim.  I'm going to try these recipes.  I was wondering about the thawing of the blueberries (a bit). I 'll try the suggestion.

I did see Stan's recipe somewhere (at least it looks familiar) and I do frequent allrecipes quite a bit,but didn't think of the one that is pictured. I'll have to try both of these.

Thanks for giving me the confidence. :-)
