Well, It wasn't as heavy as I thought, and I got it home in one piece. A 1953 Moffat Bakemaster.

My plan is to do a full rewire, some small cosmetics, this will be our main stove in our 1950s style kitchen.

I'm in southwestern Ontario, are there any resources for parts etc around?

What a Beautiful Range.

The Whole Back Splash is just Stunning.

I Love that Temperature display. And all that CHROME.

That Range reminds me of a 1949 Buick

Congratulations.  Can't wait to see an update and how much you enjoy it.

I just did a streetview of the two places that were on Queen west in Toronto.. Addison (later Golds it seems)  as well as Queen Appliances and it appears they're both outta biz now.  Seems to be a fair amount of these old Moffats showing up lately

Nice stove. My grandma had one similar but without the clock.
The appliance store one town over has a similar stove on display in the window.
St Marys is a very beautiful town. You are about an hour and a bit away from me.

Beautimous!

The chart in 5/5 looks like out of a Roper range. Are the surface units 5 or 7 heat switches? Is she 24 inches wide? Have you given her a name yet like Mona Moffat?

Moffat had the most beautiful oven control. Was there a plate or cover for the element in the oven?

Tom - here's a Roper 24" (gassy) locally, I knew I'd seen that oven door before.

Would high temp enamel work on that rust in the oven? That and the missing evenizer over the bake element are going to need seeing to.
