This writer certainly writes to the level of tech-ignorant dishwasher owners and users. My favorite sentence, "If you see a black ring around the filter at the base of the machine, it's a sure sign that your dishwasher has an exposed heating element."

Of course, he does not mention the lack of air circulation due to the reduced dimensions of the openings to allow outside air to circulate and convect during the dry cycle.

My take away: Treasure your classic dishwashers and hope they outlast you.

Yikes - look at the terrible results after the nine-minute condensation "drying" cycle in this dishwasher of the unmentionable brand. Where is my dish towel - I will so need it!
