We had that very same model Whirlpool Dishwasher and it could wash anything you put in it. It had the Super wash cycle that paused and heated the water in the first wash and last rinse. I still have the directions for that machine. I would purchase it if it was closer and sell the KitchenAid KDS17 I have, as I am not really thrilled with that machine. The Whirlpool is a much better machine that the Kitchenaid as you don't have to worry about what goes in the lower rack to block the top rack as in the Kitchenaid one arm machine.
