You should check it out at least. It doesn't appear to be much other than a shell of what it once was. Looks like the top is missing, which would keep it from ever operating.

I will go and look at it next week, but is it worth anywhere near $500? Am new at this.

$500 is far too much for this machine - as mentioned previously, you'll never be able to use it without the cover and there's a good chance this Youngstown has been sitting for a long time which may have caused the pump to seize up.

I love how the seller posts screen shots from the Youngstown film for reference.  

 

Looks like the seller is trying to sell "former glory" rather than a real appliance.  Unless you are desperate for racks, or all of the missing parts are hidden under or behind it, this is junk.   What he has there is scrap metal and given the price of that right now...

This DW-Sink is only worth about $25 and only if you need any parts off it to fix a better one that you already have.
