Hello from another Dutchman.
Miele had indeed digital series before this. Here are some ads from 1982. They show a washer, a dryer and a dishwasher, all with touchbuttons and a rapid advance timer. The W700 series were introduced in 1987 and IIRC they were replaced in 1990 by a newer series. |

I do not agree that 700-series machines came out in '87, a few days ago I took a W755 apart from.. 1985. I think you mean the Hydromatic/Novotronic machines aka the W71x series machines. |
