While on vacation in England I was browsing in the John Lewis department store in Liverpool and saw these washers and combinations on the sales floor. I love how compact they are compared to the big American hulks, but I didn't see any top loaders. Do they not sell them in Britian?

Britain is the only country in the EU I know of where you can actually get V-axis toploaders, but usually only online in certain stores due to there verry rare state over here. | ||

On this side of the pond there are H-axis toploaders, but they aren't very popular in the UK because many people in the UK have their washing machine in the kitchen, under the counter. Here's an older Whirlpool model.
