According to the tech sheet, F9E1 is long drain. It does sound like the pump is bad. F8E1 is no water detected entering machine, or pressure switch not tripped. Hope this helps. John ( a friend of Eddie's; toploader 55) |

That's what I thought too. I have seen similar design pumps that will run for a bit then freak out and fail and these were new ones and greater horsepower. Time to find a pump on Fleabay or use one of the ones I have and make or make it work! |

On one of my duets I replaced the pump with a GE version. The WP pump was selling for ~$50 the same GE version was $19 if I recall. It was physically identical too. |

Matt, If I can get the same pump from GE at that price I would definitley want to save the extra bucks. Would you have the part number for it? Thanks Steve |

normal for water to be in that portion of motor-that is kind of a water cooling jacket it seems. |
