Is a 1983 80-series. Could have been built as late as Fall 1986, and was hugely successful for Sears. There were a couple versions of this machine, one with a speckled basket and one for $20 more with the Lady K's snow white two-coat basket. The speckled version probably outsold the white basket model 50 to 1 or more.
These used to sell every day at $175 or more in the mid 1990s at used appliance stores, and I had a number of them myself. They sold themselves, most every buyer looking for a KM washer wanted one of these. Today they are hard to sell due to their apparent age, and I doubt the seller will get $150 for it, or even close, sadly. Gordon |
