Hello Ed, another fine example of a Hoovermatic by Hoover, easy to keep serviced and have scanned the pages for you but I guess many of us he would say if its working by lid only(and being operated safely by an adult) then would keep as is, those interlocks with ball chain linkage where problematic at best, all the ones I knew the owners kept a little knife handy to release that mechanism when playing up, they need the clearence tolerance to be perfect to work regularly, but also understand how we need to keep all original features working when we can....
The original pumps are almost NLA, pattern pumps usually in supply from Qualtex, Homespares and stock on the shelf in shops where you can find them, usually a pump can be taken apart and given a clean, some sealant, a washer perhaps to avoid leakages but then if ya didnt have a little splash of water from a Hoover Splashmatic then it aint been a good washday !! |

Hi gents, I don't suppose anyone has a manual for the above machine that they could scan in for me please? Or I'll happily purchase a manual from someone if they have one going spare? Many thanks Ed |

Hi Mike, That would be grand, thank you! It's for the 5054 if that's available please? I'm planning to pop it on eBay soon and if a newbie ends up with it, the handbook would be useful. Cheers Ed |
