Wow

The washer still has its Energy Guide sticker on the front. The sellers probably still have all of the 'Do No Remove' tags on their mattresses and their pillows!

Not really electronic.  Has an display panel for cycle progress but the timers are mechanical ... rapid-advance for cycle selection like a Superba dishwasher.  Very cool set, would love to have one.

They sure aren't electronic - I was asleep at the washer.

Rapid-advance or Elector-mechanical.

I had that washer in Almond in 2002.  At the time I thought it was really cool too.

Phil, what is the technical term for models like this? A "many buttons model"

That's not really used to describe appliances.

That's more a term for describing a person, usually a political candidate, for example.  Typically someone of corrupt morals i.e. republican.  Just an example.

No, we need to stick to abbreviations of appliances here.

Actually, it does work for appliances. I've owned one; an electronic Kenmore washer and matching gas dryer purchased in about 1992. That washer was truly a POS.

We called this the push button pair. Other KA laundry washers had dials or touch pads. This ws the only push button model or pair.

In the history of washer/dryers, there were few that were electro-mechanical /all button controlled.

The MT all button model.  Kenmore/Whirlpool had a short lived Dryer in the late 70s, GE - nil. Frigidaire had a model in the late 70s.

Most of them were probably in the 1960s.

Hotpoint had a 1961 pushbutton set.
