Looks like GM wanted to get a piece of ABC's centric-action pie, didn't they?

I wonder how well the "Live Earplug Action" would have worked? Looks like an interesting mechanism...

Glad you said EARplug...

I've wondered about this machine too - a toploading combo, shake-to-clean and then shake-to-dry. It sounds like a lotta shakin' goin' on for the mechanism and suspension to hold up for a reasonable amount of time. Then there's the issue of getting the clothes off the tub after being spun at 1140 RPM to they can be dried. Having seen the Calypso washer in action, I don't think it would do a very good job drying the clothes which leads to me to think a similar action in this machine wouldn't fare much better... I'd love to play with the prototype though!

I bet you'd have some mighty wrinkled clothes when the dry cycle was completed. Looks like fun though!
