The Warner's Stellian guys brought me my new SQ set today. I am floored, these machines are amazing beyond my expectations. The very thorough cleaning and rinsing are amazing. As is the capacity, build quality and speed with which I can process laundry. Here are a few pics.
1. Maiden wash 2. 2nd large load wash. 3. SQ Heavy Duty Commerical Again on cloud nine. WK78 |

I dont blame you Nick for being excited. Hopefully they will be going as long or more as my 1984 Maytags that I was just as excited for them be delivered and wait for the delivery guys to take the boxes off bring them in and hook up. But if I was to buy new today, it would definitely a be Speed Queen.

I didn't realize that the washer door opened opposite from most washers. |

Is the dryer door reversible? The washer on the right and dryer on the left would be perfect in my set up. I'd love to get a SQ but unfortunately not available in Canada except under the Huebsch brand name where the control panel has nothing but symbols for cycle selection, etc. which I find ridiculous to try and interpret.

The dryer door is reversible, I did it to ours. Just follow the directions in the manual. You may want to pre tap the new threads by screwing in the screws once in their new locations before you install the door to the new side. It easier to over come the resistance without the door getting in the way. |

I really don't understand the point of using symbols only. I know Canada is supposed to be multicultural but really...this is going overboard. What is wrong with using English/French...after all they are our 2 official languages. Would people that don't understand English or French really be able to understand just the symbols?

couldn't the touch panels be switched out for a US one?....
that would be something I would request from the dealer wanting to make a sale.... have done it with a number a purchases, from appliances to automobiles...you may find one dealer who wont, but another who would..... can't hurt to ask.... one thing that gave me a chuckle, fill hoses included......amazing how many machines out there now that you have to purchase separately..... I got a new stove a few years back, broiler pan was optional!....WTH? |

So far I am absolutely in love with these machines. Here are a few observations.
Noise: Nothing short of amazing. Virtually silent washing, drain pump is not loud al all. Spin is surprisingly smooth and quiet considering the machines are on the second floor and on pedestals. The dryer is also very quiet. Washing: So far the washer out performs the WP TL it replaced very handsomely. Clothes come out cleaner, dryer and better rinsed. I can also wash 1.5 times as much in 1 load saving a lot of laundry time. Drying: Another A plus here. Clothes are dry in 1/2 the time of the old machines due to a higher spin speed and more powerful dryer. Also they don't come out of the dryer with a baked smell like the old one. I will write more later but have to go before I miss a spin cycle. WK78 |

The washer is to be positioned to the right of the dryer, then the dryer door is reversed to open to the left, and it works. :-) |
