Looking for a replacement timer for our Hotpoint 1957 washer. Date on timer says March of 57. We think part # is 602579. Anyone have parts? Thanks

Eeek... That's not a common one, unfortunately. What does the problem seem to be? If the timer is not advancing, it's likely the motor that's the problem not the timer itself. This is a pretty common failure too (I only went through 3 on the '56 GE Combo...) Although the original motors are also rare as hen's teeth, it is possible to substitute them with newer ones.

Thanks for the info. It is the motor, hubby is looking for something to work with it now. Timer advances fine. He's just about got both the washer and drying running in this set. It's a beauty and we've had to improvise some parts, but they work great. Will be using them regularly, but not year round. Will be fun to share with other retro geeks like us. Have a groovy day!
