Could you tell me the actual launch / release date of my favourite Hotpoints which are the WF series and which month of 2004 the WF series were launched (WF000, WF220, WF240, WF250, WF430, WF440, WF630, WF640, WF840, WF860) and which month of 2005 the WF100, WF320, WF340, WF530, WF540, WF740, WT540, WT740, WT940, WT960 were first launched and which month of 2006 the WF101, WF321, WF541 and also washer dryer versions (WD420, WD440, WD640, WD860) and tumble dryer versions (VTD00, VTD20, VTD60, CTD00, CTD40, CTD80) were launched as I'm curious about when the actual launch date was but I know that the first WF series started being built / manufactured in April 2004 and the Vented Dryers started being built in May 2004 and washer dryers started being built in July 2004 and the Condenser Dryers started being built in August 2004 and I know the production dates because I read it by downloading something on the Indesit Company website but the reason why I'm asking the launch date of the Hotpoints in the WF and WT and WD era is because I am confused and keep getting the launch dates wrong so I would ask all of you guys as I want to add more for my knowledge about these machines and I thought I would ask you all experts for real knowledge.

Have some patience... if there's anyone able to answer the question, they will do, but someone may have to go and research it themselves.

look like you've answered your own question, they launched in 2004 and ran until 2008. :)

Hi Janak.

Previous accurate introduction dates for the likes of the 18-series, 95-series, WM-series and WMA-series have been found, thanks to repair shops and the like disposing of their official printed servicing manuals and being acquired by the likes of us.
Each batch of models used to be accompanied by a comprehensive printed servicing manual and there were regular updates so, before long, reference shelves soon began to creak under their weight and when the calls to repair 95's for example tailed off, that is when the printed volumes are disposed of.

Re: the WF-series .... I have never seen any printed servicing manuals for them, though that's not to say that they don't exist, but I can see there being more liklihood of Hotpoint WF-series manuals being supplied on CD which are easier to hide away on a shelf and forget about.

Maybe, if you have an understanding local repair shop, nip in and see if they have the information for you, either in print or gleaned from a CD.
If they don't, then its a case of keeping your eye on ebay and seeing if any surface.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
Paul
p.s I do have a small fold out leaflet for the WF range, I think dating from 2004, but it's packed away at the moment due to house refurbishment. As soon as I re-discover it, I will photograph it and post it here.

p.s here is my parents pensioned of WF740T, which is now safely in preservation with me.
Killed off by the 99p failing capacitor issue, which resulted in the Christmas Tree effect, with all lights and the digital display flashing.

Was kindly repaired by Mathew (keymatic3203) and the machine now resides at the bottom of the garden, with the rest of the machines.

Am fairly sure it was bought in 2005 and retired in 2011, when it entered the collection.

Was it the first preserved WF?
Paul

Paul it wasn't the first WF and what does preserve mean?

Janak,

Paul's WF740T is the first preserved example of a WF machine meaning that it is now a collection piece. Yes you are correct in identifying that it's not the first WF model which was WF000 but that is not what Paul was saying.

It does help to read before you type all these quick fire questions.

James
