Would appreciate some help.
Purchased Samsung TL with 4.8 drum in November 2015. Six months later the machine failed - repair guy said drum would have to be replaced due to improper installation at factory in Korea.
Waited three weeks for the part. Repair guy comes out and installs new drum. That evening the machine failed during the transition to the spin cycle. (Violent shaking). I called repair man back and he said he "probably" needed to use another nut and would "see" when he could make it back out.
Long story short I took the washer back to the place of purchase and they gladly gave us a refund. We bought the Maytag Bravos XL TL, but feel that some of the cycles make better sense on the Samsung that we had. We have all Samsung appliances and have had no issues. Are we better off staying with the Maytag? or do you think we just had a random issue with the Samsung?

To each their own,

but a service tech told me they are all about the same.
After using a Bravos X since 2011, I'll not be buying another WP washer. The dryer has been better, but I'd chance the Korean washer next myself. My sister has had her Samsung TL for about 5 years now with no problems. She does laundry for four, and us only three.
In fact, I may try a FL next, or just go to a Laundromat to do the four loads per week for us by then as we will likely be two of us by then.
