Inquiring minds need to know.. Here's tonight's load... 3 before pics when i originally loaded it and 3 after pics trying to cram 2 bowls, a mesuring cup and one more pot in there dishwasher.. and the dirty broiler pan i never rinsed

Am tempted to throw some powerded cascade in for a pre wash, but also think i wanna see how well it handles this load

Main concern is how the top broiler pan is loaded... the two items (blue bowl and mesuring cup may impede full spay power to scrub pan bottom

Also wonder if there is enough clearance for the broiler top to get scrubber.. It only fits there in this machine..

So far i am very hopeful.. using a Finish QUantam Tab... I know that Quinoa is the only thing this machine hates and it handles that even with out much more than a few yibbles... Also a piece or two of rice has remained on the door...

So is this a bob load? Or could i have loaded more? Critique away~!

Could be wrong, but I think it means, in relation to dishwasher loads, where it is loaded up to the max - beyond the official capacity of that machine and where you would expect there to be cleaning problems because of how full it is loaded. I supposed the reasoning is to test how well the machine/detergent cleans under the conditions.

That's what I got from reading various threads on here anyway.

Bob Loads are basically loading the dishwasher to its maximum where you don't think that anything else can be added to it. The only "pre-rinsing" that you do is just basic scraping of dishes before loading them with no water involved.

You have to be sure to post pics of both racks showing how they looked before the machine is run, and post pics of after running before you unload the dishwasher. Also, it would be nice to know what cycle & options you used along with which dishwasher detergent.

One of the members here is the one that "certifies" that you've BOB LOADED your machine. His screen name is APPNUT and his name of course is BOB.

The fact you mentioned BOB LOADING in your thread title will more than likely draw him here to check out how you did. The only thing you need to do now is post some after shots.

GOOD LUCK AND BOB LOAD AWAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! LOL

Jeff, that's one amazing load, packed.  How did the broiler pan come out?  I give you BobLoad Extreme Extroardinaire certification.  That's only been bestowed one other time.  See thread 64218.

It's amazing

when you're loading dirty non rinsed dishes, etc, and you really want to add another one or two items, or maybe 3 or 4, but you don't see how it will be possible, but you figure it out, and then end up loading the dishwasher without the spray arms being blocked - run the machine, and at the end, everything is spotless. I've done this several times. I only run my dishwasher every 3 days or so but it's always packed to the max. It holds a lot.

So I put it all away... The pan that is not facing down in the direct center, had some dried on like water with korn yibbles,... Not bad, but some how a few pieces of korn got in there and left that and a korn husk on a fork... But nothing i couldn't rinse off

Im really impressed.. only my jetcleans have done so well.. This was SO worth replacing

So - now you're not only certifiable,

panthera's profile picture
But Bob has certified you.
I'm impressed.
My parents' Maytag - one of the very last real ones - does well with corn and broiler pans using the sensor.
Pity Whirlpool didn't adopt any of the good Maytag technology.

There's actually an argument to be made that the grease combines with the alkaline builders in the detergent to make a soap - which holds further dirt in suspension and results in a cleaner load than if it all had been pre-rinsed to death.

I try and always leave the grease behind.. I always thought thats what the sensors mesured.. That and the turbitity> of the water (how much is floating in it)....

I don't think it would have gone as well, had i rinsed the crap out of the broiler pans

also have run several similar loads in the old bosch and it would have been filthy still

my maytag that was here when i moved in was even better...

When I saw those before pictures I didn't have high hopes for the broiler pan.  Do you spray that with anything like Pam before you use it?  How long did it run?

I am thoroughly impressed as well.
My parents have that same GE, and I have the upper end Profile, and I was still impressed.
Especially the broiler pan.
I'll fry bacon in my stainless skillets. They'll be gross but not burned on too much, and those will only come partially clean with a few bits left. But they scrape off.

That pan though........wow.

These GEs are interesting.
There are many times where I look at something and think "there's no way it'll come clean." And then it emerges spotless. LOL!
Other times there are items I completely expect to come clean, and then they'll still some guk on them (facepalm).

ahhh, machines......

I won't even attempt a bob load in my machine. It barely cleans with half a load in and I've tried every powder and tablet going. It's been like this since the day I bought it. Will never buy another beko dishwasher again.

A Bob Load -

Take a dishwasher and load to stated capacity, and then some more, add more , then fill over the gaps, and then some more, then await certification !!

I can't remember if i pam'd the pan or not...

I did't have hope for the bottom part AND i know that wasn't sprayed..

John,

I dunno, im wondering if the x shaped wash arms just don't do as well as the normal ones.... Hmmm

A "Mild" BobLoad

appnut's profile picture

From this weekend and the Kenmore elite I got last November. that's a small broiler pan facing the TurboZone jets.  Sat overnight encrusted, didn't touch anything at all, including the grease residue.  Came totally clean.   I couldn't do this in a one arm wonder!!  Most of my loads are similar.  Thus one of THOSE couldn't survive in my house and kitchen.  Totally useless for my lifestyle!!!

Your copper bottoms look good, Bob.  Do you polish them or is that how the Kenmore keeps them?

Is that a bone saw in the upper rack with the yellow handle?  Raising your own cattle?  That would take gardening to the Extreme Extraordinaire level. :-)

That yellow handled thing looks like a yard tool or a body chopping device (bone saw, never heard of it?)

BobLoad... We do that every day,

Not that our BOL of BOL Whirly gets it clean without either double the detergent or twice the pre rinsing.

At my house we argue who has to unload and load the thing, we just hate it, so we cram everything we can into the cheap thing.

Seeing that odd thing in Bobs dishwasher reminded me of this..

was in sears buying my first new fridge in 2003 and my buddy was me, and he wason leave from Afganastan... We stroll by the large 22 cu ft chest freezers to the scratch and dent area, salesman in tow and he just stops, opens one up and says "Gee, we could sure use these over seas, they would hold a bunch of corpses"...

I and the salesman exchanged this slightly horrified glare and look...He started laughing and the salesman and i just kept looking ahead... I hurried up and bought a 21 cu ft whirlpool on scratch and dent and got outta there... I tried to say something, but i couldn't...

Soon after, i lost touch with him and kinda glad i did

The x-arms; you're partially right.
The lower, reversing x-arm actually does an amazing job on the first rack.
But the x-arm in the upper rack was definitely lacking.
So I swapped it out for a standard s-shaped arm.
It does better, especially in the corners.

That's kind of like my niece going to look for a new car and ask the salesman how many bodies you can get in the trunk.  I think she was serious.

Bone saw: I thought the same thing!

What the hell, Bob?!

Aside: I think you're underestimating that load calling only a 'mild' BobLoad. Looks pretty packed to me.

Greg, the Kenmore keeps them that way as long as I use Sani Rinse option.  I've never had any dishwasher yield that kind of results on my Revere Ware ever.
