People usually don't care about the appliances in their houses. they have families to take care of. As long as it functions reasonably, but not stellarly, they're fine with it. I think most people still rinse. As my other half has commented--"aren't you even going to help out the dishwasher some? You gotta help it out some, that's how I feel." |

I got a similar response once over a comment that "It's just a washer!"....whats the big deal....and for him not knowing what makes one better than the other....
you have to explain things in terms they understand..... I asked him why he has the Mustang GT convertible........as my response to him, "It's just a car!", you could have bought a Yugo!....it will get you from point A to point B..... once he explained the thrill of power, looks, feel...and the night and day difference of the two.... then his eyes opened and he understood, not all machines are created equal.... then again, like a neutered dog, some will never get it! |

Karen said in an earlier conversation she had with this woman that she was very proud of her grandchildren. Why? Because "they are out there playing soccer to combat racism." Try to figure that one out. |

When I'm in a charitable mood I look at people like that and say, "I know god is holding you in the palm of his hand because there is NO f**king way you're making it through life on your own."
I swear people are just getting stupider.

During my years at THD, I always explained CAREFULLY the downside of using LCB in front-loaders (spider-wheel deterioration). "Oh, I MUST use bleach for my husband's shirts, kids underpants, sheets, etc." To myself I'd say, "See you in three years, doll". Sure enough, "That FL you sold me was a piece of sh*t, I need a new one". Then buys another brand and (probably) continues with the LCB. Go with God.
Friends just bought a house two blocks away. It came with an (ugh) Kenmore FL pair. I immediately gave them "the drill". " Oh, I need bleach for t-shirts, towels, dress shirts, et. al.) I took over a jar of STPP and explained it's use. "Charlie, that stuff is amazing! Even with bleach my whites never came out like that". Booyah. |

This neighbor lady sounds like she might be at the beginning of dementia or accidental medication toxicity. Maybe their daughter will visit soon? |
