A couple of my mom's high school alumni who married after graduation (of which by now, one or both may have parted & they'd never had any kids) had old appliances such as these, in that shade of brown at that...

The kitchen had a Whirlpool gas range, of which the only luxury may have been an electronic ignition and a clock in the tower-like housing for it, as well as at least a light and a window for the oven... A Frigidaire refrigerator, top freezer, that was at least frost free, and a small Maytag dishwasher, that I think was the top-loading variety, well-cycled probably even for pots and pans...

So that was all what I could on the only memorable visit, of which they were both handy-dandy do-it-yorselfers, whom devoted their lives to their home, and even got along w/ one vehicle, a Ford pick-up standard cab w/ an 8' bed; that's all I remember seeing & where at least, the hubby was notably employed...

And how else, could they have had kept app's of this vintage to be around as eternally as they'd been? They never needed out-side help for painting, repairs, remodeling, home improvements, gardening, or even decorating...

The washer & dryer, being in the basement I didn't get to go there, unless it were ever any long-ago before my early-to-mid-twenties when my mom took me there on one of her visits (she was close friends w/ the wife) could most-likely be a Maytag pair such as that...

At least that's what I can easily visualize...  And of course, deem this pair for sale, as a real neat set!
