Would that outer tub work on a 1961 model?

Are these steel or polypropelene? If steel, are they standard or large capacity?
Thanks.

They're steel tubs. They were for a Whirlpool LA7800XPW0. I don't know what other models they will fit.

Gordon would know best, but by looking at the parts diagram it appears this outer tub is for a 1979 and later large capacity machine.  I suspect it won't work on a '61 standard capacity.

These are the smaller of the two sizes of Ex Lg Cap tubs that WP used on their BD models, they will fit most models of ELC BD washers from about 1981 through the last of the BD washers in late 1986.
